The Swiss Alps is a great place to trek in the summer! You can get a wonderful view of the Matahorn. Summer days are often very clear.

You can stay in different huts along the way and you can reach about 3,500m without being a mountaineer.

Make sure you have the following things in order and in good condition:

  • Maps (including GPS)
  • Water bottle
  • Back pack
  • Shoes
  • Socks
  • Clothes
  • Walking sticks

Also take:

  • Hat (with covering for the neck)
  • Sunglasses
  • Lip balm
  • Sun screen lotion
  • Snack and nibble items
  • Poncho
  • Light but warm sleeping bag
  • Pocket knife
  • Compass
  • Mobile phone (it can come in handy)
  • Digital camera
  • Money (local currency)
